Update Completed
Day 13 [0079.10.13]

The system has ascended from version 2.0 to 2.2. The things that have changed will be apparent from inside the Knowlege base. The Privileges section, as it is now called, is something that wasn't being taken into consideration before, thus making the whole point of having a rank pointless. Now that this is implemented, some of you may have to delay some of your more omnipotent plans and work on getting past Private 1st Class. God, that is such a *low* rank... it still baffles me how we failed to take this into account, it was rendering the whole system ineffective. That's now fixed however.

Today's update is in, of course the in game clock is still saying Day 13, which now corresponds to today in Real Time.

During the pause which occurred *on the 22nd of November 2004* and has lasted until *today*, We still noticed that some people still sent PMs and supply requests from the 23rd up to as late as the 26th. We cannot take these into account during a pause it's impossible, since those days didn't even exist within the RPG. So anything from the 23rd until the 28th will be disregarded.

RPG now unpaused.

For all people who are currently in violation of the rules because of the change, your request will be belayed. If it is currently in effect, then it will continue but you won't be able to do that again. This is the fairest way possible.

Also, our battlewriters Rueben has made his debut today. =^.^=

Update Completed
Day 12 [0079.10.12]

Because of the huge delay which can be blamed on several things, the last two days were not counted and we'll continue on with this as day 12. Quite a few actions today.

For the recorded, the Real dates site wide have been updated to reflect the non-existence of Saturday and Sunday. Welcome to a much delayed day 12.

Update Completed
Day 11 [0079.10.11]

Wow, the Locations and Maps page is alive with movement. Tomorrow is a big day for some people it seems...

Yes, those dates are correct as well. Remember that an action is carried out the next day, and a travel request takes the time that it will take then. So here an example just in case anyone is unclear.

Monday: You send a request saying you want to travel to a place 1 day (or part thereof) away and attack something.

Tuesday: You travel for 24hrs. (1 day)

Wednesday: Arrival and attack featured in update.

Simple right? Now of course if the location was 0days away (ie, same square) then Arrival and attack would have been on 'Tuesday' in the above example, because there would be '0 days' travel, not 1 day.

If anyone was wondering, I hope that clears it up.

Update Completed for:
Day 10 [0079.10.10]

Apologies for the lateness, I was in no condition yesterday to do anything. DAY 11's update will happen later today, things are getting interesting now.

Keep in mind that this is YESTERDAY'S update. Day 11's update will take effect shortly.

Update Completed.
Day 9 [0079.10.09]

Wow, that was hell, some people just *enjoy* fighting, I swear.

Rayne Itami cheats death at the hands of Augusta pilots as he retrieves Jonathan from the Area Near Earth, and Rueben Itami and Strider Yagami get it on at point eaI-10, neither of them wanted to just throw in the towel it seems. Report any mistakes of course.

Update Completed.
Day 8 [0079.10.08]

Complete update, Two new players added, Joseph Murrel needs to submit a physical description of his character via PM in the message board to me. Roun Itami, yours checked out just fine.

This is a super early update, I'm getting far more efficient at this now I think.
All errors have been fixed, new missions are now available, and it looks as if things are heating up now. When will the clouds burst, and the stormy swirl of combat begin?

Also, keep checking the Storyline and Timeline, they *do* get updated you know...

Update Completed.
Day 7 [0079.10.07]

Complete update, its now totally up to date, including two actions taken, one of which is an actual battle against NPCs 9 Levels above the opponents. An overall interesting update, it feels good to be on top of things.

Sunday 14 November 2004  11:21
THE PRINCE IS DEAD.

All members check the Storyline for the account of Garma Zabi's meeting with Fate. This changes things now, because there is no longer a Earth Attack force Captain for Zeon. Amidst the confusion, Gihren Zabi will address the nation during Garma's state funeral, offering words of guidance and reassurance to Zeon.

Update completed.
DAY 2 [0079.10.02]

2 New members added to the Duchy of Zeon as well.

And also remember: all actions you do take place on the next day. So sending a request during Day 1 will have the action happen (or begin to happen) in Day 2, for example.

Tuesday 09 November 2004  21:02 -=OFFICIALLY NOW OPEN=-
There we have it. The time has finally come, we're officially pen as of this second. The message board passwords are being sent to the respective members now as well. Check the message board for more information of course.

[Rei Murasame]

Sunday 07 November 2004  14:33
Earth Federation is once again open for joining.

Up to my eyes in work right now...

[Rei Murasame]

Saturday 06 November 2004  06:05
I personally PMed all members with errors now, and the starting date is now officially Monday 08th November. So I guess I'll listen to vastly underappreciated pop music until those members with errors reply to my PM.

For more information, check the Announcements thread in the message board.

[Rei Murasame]

Wednesday 03 November 2004  03:50
I think we now have enough members. All of you NEED to join the message board ASAP. As in, now. My next update will be map completion and game start, but that can't happen until you all join the message board so we can take a player count and PM you with the password to your board. Also, we've decided that we'll PM players in the message board who still have outstanding problems with their joining requests. But of course we can't do that if you haven't signed up in the message board.

[Rei Murasame]

Sunday 31 October 2004 16:18
Well, due to a serious imbalance in players, I think I will disallow the choice of Earth Federation as a joining option temporarily.

Another interesting thing I've noticed, is the number of players who say they were born on Earth. So far I have seen no citizens of Side 3, 4, 5 or 6 yet. Not even the Zeon characters seem to be from the colonies - and their home is Side 3!

I hope more Zeons join now, I'd like it to be at least close to an even number of players on both sides before we start. Also, several people may be receiving mails from me regarding erroneous or impossible Personality Descriptions, so look out for that.

The Places of Birth: Luna II, Axis, Jupiter Energy Fleet have been removed due to relative improbability/impossibility. Age was also altered from 9 - 65, to 14 - 65 instead. That's all that's changed in the joining form for now.

Some things that seem only a little out of order will not be brought up, but they will most likely cause interesting things to happen to your character at the start of the game. I'll mail only the people who made errors that are impossible.

[Rei Murasame]

Sunday 31 October 2004 03:36
This has been a wonderful update. I advise everyone to review the Knowlege Base again, paying particular attention to the Installations Systems page, which was completely overhauled. All other sections received minor tweaks.

Notice: All new members should join the message board immediately, thank you.

Happy Halloween to everyone, and try to either trick or treat a little (emphasis on the trick), or at least pretend to be a bit evil.

[Rei Murasame]

Thursday 28 October 2004 15:39
We're almost ready, we have quite a few players joining now, but we've noticed that there is an imbalance in numbers. There are a large number of Earth Federation people, and a significantly smaller number of Zeons. So we'll need a few more of them.

[Rei Murasame]

Monday 25 October 2004 15:37
We've got 6 joining requests so far, when that number increases to an ideal amount, we'll be able to start. That's all for now.

[Rei Murasame]

Wednesday 20 October 2004 05:59
Okay, now this is just ridiculous. I have everything I need *right in front* of me. Yet I procrastinate. "Oh, I'm so tired!" This is true, yet I am still awake though. "Ah, my body hurts internally!" Yet I am still alive. The really is no reason why I shouldn't be ready now. What is wrong with me? This procrastination ends. Now. Map and Installation *will* be completed.

[Rei Murasame]

Monday 18 October 2004 04:01
Okay, I like, watched lots of TV while the ideas sort of  spun around in my subconscious. I have a pretty good idea of the last things I need to do, and how to very quickly implement them. However... I feel sick and faint now... urgh... I must have been awake for too long. Even breathing takes effort - so its a sure sign of lack of sleep, or impending death - I'm sort of thinking that I'd prefer sleep to death. Maybe, by the time I wake up, the phones will be back working again...
Its also very hot as well, unnaturally hot for the night... but my consciousness is slipping so I'm gone for now...

FOREVER FULL OF MY LOVE.
Forever full of my Love.

Well, it should be obvious by those lyrics that I've been watching the Nedesico Movie, instead of doing work. Well there is a logical explanation for this, I promise. Apparently... the wonderful people at the phone company will repair the damage - in 24 hours. Although 14:00 tomorrow seems a bit later than 24hrs. But that is how long I have to wait. I will of course be ready by that time - unless the power goes out, followed by an erupting volcano, a tidal wave, and a hurricane with hail of course. I hate the phone company by the way, but I suppose you already guessed that.

[Rei Murasame]

Monday 18 October 2004 16:33
I am officially annoyed now. Apparently, a truck drove through our neighbourhood and *somehow* managed to tear up a very important phone-line. This happened at about 23:50 last night. It is still not fixed. Which means that the powers that be have evidently decided to effectively blind me. This however caused me to draw several more paranoid conclusions at first, it actually made me question my security and my methods to remain out of the watchful eye of my evil ISP - and maybe even the government. Was it all a conspiracy? Seems doubtful, now that I know it was all a truck's fault. However, you can never be too sure. I'll review my anti-detection methods, and perform some checks, using my own nose and some scanners to make sure no wanna-be spies are trying to pull one over on us all.

Update: No suspicious activities directed at my PC, so its just really bad luck it seems. The RPG will start as soon as I get back damned telephone service.

[Rei Murasame]

Sunday 17 October 2004 16:07
Right. I'll definately be ready for joining requests by Monday now. Exciting - The Zeta Gundam DVD box set can now be preordered, obviously, but here's the picture. It seems to be a special limited edition thing... and its a non standard box, not like normal ones. I must have this. I must.

Sunday 17 October 2004 02:14
Long delayed update actually. Although the work I did is long since done, my update hasn't shown until now. I'll start with four completely random points before I get into it.
1. Tatu - All the things she said, is actually a much more inspiring song in Russian than in English... we got short-changed, hehe, took me long enough to realize it.
2. I need to renew/obtain my European Community passport!
3. I'm really feeling nostalgic today - and quite proud of a lot of things - like myself, my country... its a nice feeling.
4. I don't trust Kerry, and Bush is a hazard. It doesn't really matter who wins, the Americans are the Americans. (No offence to Americans of course, haha)

But anyway, those things aside, I added a lyrics section in extras, for the real otakus. Also, I also finished all of the glossaries. Only the map and Installations remain. Rueben helped me out with deciding how I'll do that, so I'll put that in place soon and we'll be ready to go. I also got over my desire to change the name of the RPG as well. It will remain Mobile Suit Gundam: Tears of Time.

[Rei Murasame]

Saturday 16 October 2004 05:40
I can be quite irrational at times. For some reason, after choosing the name Tears of Time, and never having thought twice on it - I'm suddenly compelled to switch it for something else...
Tears of Time was and is appropriate, simply by being what it was. Also the abbreviation TOT would probably come into effect, so you wouldn't have to keep to keep on saying 'Tears of Time', which I'm sure would get very annoying. Or maybe its would be shortened to MSG instead, I can't tell.
But now, suddenly, I feel a strange compulsion to rename it before its launch... to Mobile Suit Gundam: Ai Senshi. Its obviously reminiscent of that old song, and means 'Soldier of Sorrow'. And this also seems to fit too. Its quicker to say, has the appeal of not being English, needs no abbreviation, and sounds nice to say.
The problem - people might not agree with me on that, and *also* the fact that everything is already registered as Tears of Time. A changeover would mean any instances of TOT would need changing to Ai Senshi - everywhere. Maybe I'm just being stupid due to lack of any sleep in the last 48 hours. I'll sleep on it, and we'll see.

[Rei Murasame]

Saturday 16 October 2004 03:11
Well, its plain to see that the whole 'me meeting deadline' thing went swiftly through the window, and was smashed by a random Land Rover. I suppose its about quality over speed, so I'll try to be ready as soon as possible. So far it would seem as if the powers that be have not bothered to set me back too much, so I'll just put in the work, and achieve that state of readiness.

[Rei Murasame]

Friday 15 October 2004 05:34
Happy Birthday to T3h Meg, it took today long enough to show up. Heheh.
Well, I only have three tasks remaining, really this time. Organizational Glossary, Installations and its system, and the accursed Maps... However, I need to take a rest now, my insomnia is wearing off, and I think I'm making myself sicker than usual. Which is bad. So we will see what happens next won't we? Still not officially open, I've given this URL to only about 4 people.

[Rei Murasame]

Friday 15 October 2004 04:39
Message board is now ready. Also, I've decided that the RPG will be officially declared open for joining at 21:30 today, until further notice. So please send no joining requests until then. There is still work to do...

[Rei Murasame]

Thursday 14 October 2004 22:22
Ahhhh! More time! There just isn't enough!!!

[Rei Murasame]

Thursday 14 October 2004 18:23
Just finished the technical glossary. That took a long time, its been more than an hour since I started it, and I only just finished. What I need is more *time*. I must believe in my strengths... or perhaps an Ocarina would be just as good - I could turn back time by a couple hours, or maybe slow the passage of time with just one simple tune...

[Rei Murasame]

Thursday 14 October 2004 17:06
Here's another wonderful complication I only just considered. T.M Revolution - Meteor is an apt mp3 here, for sure. It occurred to me that there will definately be a delay period in which people will only be allowed to join. That sounds fine, yes, but the most annoying thing that just hit home was... my current lack of a legitimate internet account. The level of aggravation at this fact cannot even be described using the most obscene adjectives. I must fix this problem by any means necessary... This is not good, I can't tolerate having my plans messed with - bloody hell.

[Rei Murasame]

Thursday 14 October 2004 16:56
Approaching the T -7 marker, and I'm almost ready. Listening to Akatsuki no Kuruma, it kind of lends the correct atmosphere to the anticipation I'm feeling. I really do hope I'll be a good webmaster actually. However, there are still a few problems that I must overcome in order to succeed, as well as some minor clarifications that must come into effect. The first issue is the map page, which is just the *most* difficult thing for me - I've been dancing around it, avoiding it - but I will *have* to finish it within the next 8 hours 4 mins anyway. Then I can turn my attention to announcing that people can begin joining. The next issue is the configuration of the chat area, which needless to say will need proper instructions. And yet another slice of aggravation, is my sudden realization that I omitted to include or provide a system for *Installations*! How exactly do you overlook something like that!? Argh.
On a slightly less stressful thought, Gabriel Mobius kindly gave me the idea to host the site on www.100webhosting.com, so investigate into this, I shall.

[Rei Murasame]

Tuesday 12 October 2004 14:54
Finished the Duchy of Zeon's mechanics page, finally. It was a lot quicker than I thought it would be, deciding what to begin with was the hardest part, but ultimately things that existed in October 0079 were all included. I also resolved an annoying error which caused the Zeon mechanics page links to all lead to their Federation counterparts. Silly me, I should have caught that bug earlier. Just a bit further to go now. I think I'm posting updates way too frequently now - its not really that necessary... ^.^;

[Rei Murasame]

Tuesday 12 October 2004 13:06
Awake! Why am I posting so much recently? I have like, no idea. But from what I can tell, today will most likely be the day I'll finish and finally be ready to go. If I can finish two days ahead of schedule, that gives me a lot of headroom to eliminate any bugs or mistakes that crop up out of nowhere. And as good as I am at this - I know there will be errors. I also just had an interesting thought - how will I have time to participate in other RPGs while running this one?
On a totally unrelated note, I need more music by Tatu. People of the same school of thought, help your webmaster over here! ~.^

[Rei Murasame]

Tuesday 12 October 2004 00:45
Changed the dark bars, like the one used on this post's title to a better looking one. For some reason I actually feel sleepy...

[Rei Murasame]

Tuesday 12 October 2004 00:03
The night is my companion... solitude my guide...
Being a nocturnal being can be so lonely sometimes. With only the moon's cold gaze to watch over me, I often wonder if I need the warmth of someone holding me... *sigh*
Anyway, I've done the Subordinate section - and added two things to the statistic system page. The Subordinate System page is rather short and to the point. There isn't much left to do really, and so there is light at the end of the tunnel. I'm very anxious to begin this RPG, there has been a lot of preparation put into it, and I'm starting to feel a bit impatient actually. Kind of like a guitar string that's been tightened to the point where its just about to break. Oh damn it - I just remembered that I need to do the Duchy of Zeon's mechanics page... grrr.
Anyway, I wonder if anyone will answer their phones at midnight... perhaps Engel de Itami might, hehehe.

[Rei Murasame]

Monday 11 October 2004 14:25
Supposed to be meeting Rueben Itami in town, but I've taken so long to get ready that I haven't done it yet... The only things left to do are the subordinate, supply and glossary in the Knowlege Base, and the Map page. Well, time is ticking and I am SO out of here.

[Rei Murasame]

Saturday 09 October 2004 03:41
More early morning work. I can't even begin to list the amount of work and tweaks that were performed today... So I guess this is a landmark update actually, its the 'really and truly almost finished' landmark. At this rate, I think I should easily be able to make my 2004.10.15 deadline. Right now however, I need sleep... any more work will begin to quite literally feel like its raping me. I'll take a break.

[Rei Murasame]

Friday 08 October 2004 01:27
In the last few days... I have gotten a lot further. It seems that I might actually be able to make my self imposed deadline at this rate. I'll just have to keep going at it. I've added several parts of the Knowlege Base, Storyline, Diagnostics, Links, Credits, and corrected a few errors. Interestingly enough, the thing that delays me the most is actually my own wistful depressing thoughts as I wrote the Timeline/Storyline up. I also just finished reading Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: What Cost For Freedom? by Redcomet, and it compounded these feelings. Some people say that I let the things around me affect my emotions too much, but I say it comes from me being a newtype. I'd continue on, but I feel like I'll burst into tears any minute now - again - so I really don't have the heart to carry on this morning. When the sun rises, and after I get much needed sleep I'll be back on the job again. The world can be so beautiful sometimes, and so terrible a lot more...
*cries*

[Rei Murasame]

Tuesday 05 October 2004 11:59
Just posting here for posting's sake. Two things: Did the front of the faction pages, but my next priorities are the storyline, Map and finishing the damned knowlege base, which is like the rules of gameplay, so its very important. Hm.. I said two things?... well the second thing is that I'm really craving whipped cream right now... mmnnn. Deadline is *still* October 15 for official starting, but the timeline date will be set as October 01 0079. I haven't got much time left if I want to meet that deadline. What is going on in this webmaster's pretty little head? Nothing actually... I'm just posting because I can. Rei out. And do not be concerned for my mental health! I am fine! Just bored/idle right now!

[Rei Murasame]

Sunday 03 October 2004 07:17
Technical update this time. Finished off the Excel spreadsheet that will carry out the majority of the calculations for me. Also changed the background image, among many other things that should be obvious. And no whining about "Ohh, where are the frames, there aren't any frames!" because I deliberately decided to use includes instead of frames. My deadline for completion has been set as the 15th of October. Wish me luck. And yes, THIS SITE IS SO UNDER CONSTRUCTION, so there is no reason for you to expect this to be finished. So don't message me saying "What does this mean?", and "When will you start?", because I _will_ be annoyed.

[Rei Murasame]

Saturday 02 October 2004 17:42
Changes to the site, and radical ones at that, have officially come into effect. All previous updates have been archived, not that anyone cares, because even I don't, and we'll be moving forward from this point on under a slightly different mindset. The most major change of all, is the starting date, which will now be in early October of UC0079. Anyway, I'm off to work on this, so we will see what'll happen.

[Rei Murasame]
